Also known as the Travelers Companies, this American insurance company is the second largest insurer of the nation’s commercial property-casualty, and is also the third largest insurer of the nation’s personal insurance policies. In 2009, Travelers Insurance was named a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average, alongside companies such as Cisco Systems, Pfizer and Verizon.

The company holds a rating of AMB-1+ on the Short-Term Issuer Credit Rating. This means that the company holds the strongest and highest possible rating that can be achieved. On the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating, the rating is an a+. This means that the company has been reviewed and stands within an excellent margin. These ratings were presented in May of 2014.
